I have a stock that was finished with BLO that I want to strip. I gave Purple Power a try, but it isn't removing the finish. What next?

The only way I've found to get an oil finish completely off the wood, is with lacquer thinner soaked 0000 steel wool. Do it outside, and don't smoke!

And after a second treatment, the purple power is making progress, but it is not done. I will keep the above tips in mind, Krud Kutter and lacquer thinner, thanks.

Purple power, elbow grease and either steel wool or a wire brush take your time, don't skimp on the stripping and sanding that will dictate how your finish comes out.
