How would enter selling a C&R hanging in your log?

Ok, say you have C&R 03, and you have a C&R handgun, which needs to be logged in your book. If you decide to sell it, it needs to go through a FFL 01. So, do you enter in your log book it's disposition went to the FFL, or the actual buyer. It seems like if you met the buyer in person at the transfer dealer, it would be the actual buyer. But if you already received payment before hand, and left it with the dealer for the seller to DROS and pickup latter, it seems like it would be the FFL 01?

You log it out to the transfer FFL.
Transfer FFL logs it into his bound book as coming from you.
When buyer comes back to pick up the gun the transfer FFL logs it out to the buyer.

You can make a notation about who the actual buyer was, but it is not necessary. Also, you don't really know for sure that the buyer will actually ever take possession of the handgun.

I logged them out to the 01 FFL. For my own reference I made a note with name and address of the actual buyer

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

I use to put the buyer/seller into the log but when I asked ATF they informed me the paper trail is what they want. You need to put the FFL doing the transfer into the log. I put both just for my own resource.
