    collection value....

I've recently come up on some self made hard times and may need to sell off the rifles that won't be needed to harvest food. I might be parting with the following: K-31 walnut (matching bayo), hex tula 91/30, hex izhevsk 91/30, laminated izhevsk 91/30, Vz24 scrubbed crest/refinished, M38 izhevsk not counter bored in an m44 stock, and an izhevsk 91/30 with an immaculate bore in a stock that hasn't seen action outside of an arsenal, I also was kicking around selling a yugo m57 still in the preservation gunk (2 mags). No special years or markings, am I wrong in thinking a grand is out of the question for the lot?

This is what I see completely off the hilt.

K-31 walnut (matching bayo) = 250 (could be higher, wood looks really nice, possibly up to $300)
      hex tula 91/30 = 120
      hex izhevsk 91/30 = 110
      laminated izhevsk 91/30 = 130
      Vz24 scrubbed crest/refinished = 200
M38 izhevsk not counter bored in an m44 stock = 170
      izhevsk 91/30 = 100

All very conservative prices. So I'm seeing about $1080 without the pistol. I think your $1k estimate is achievable.

This one is closer to $150 for me, scrubbed and refinished both hurt value.

I do think this lot could get $1000 though, maybe $1150-$1200 with the pistol.

For the k31, more like $300+ since bayo is matching. See jg online: http://www.jgsales.com/product_info....oducts_id/3443
Troop tag? Are you sure it's walnut? I found out from personal experience it can be tough to tell the difference. Under the butt plate is the date of the stock. Prior to '46, it's surely walnut from my understanding.

I looked up the s/n at http://www.radix.net/~bbrown/schmidt_rubin.html#m31 and it dates to 1941.

The stock does not always match the rifle, especially if it was rearsenalled. Under the butt plate (and troop tag if you have one) you will find stamped into the wood a Roman numeral (for the month) and a 2 digit number for the year. VII 40 is July 1940.
                Something I found: http://forums.gunboards.com/archive/.../t-23839.html?

certainly not unreasonable for a grand. if i had it i'd be knocking on your door, lol. in all seriousness though, as a package deal, that's a pretty good one, perhaps a little low, but a lot of us are low on "pile of c&R guns" funds right now. i know i sure am.... haven't attended the show in almost 2 yrs because i can't go without buying something.
