    Couple C&R Qs

If I had a C&R license I would be able to have a 50+ year old rifle such as the Mosin Nagant shipped directly from the seller to my door right?

Are handguns the only C&Rs required to be put in the book, or does this need to be done for rifles & shotguns as well?

All C&R acquisitions, even dealer purchases such as Big-5 Mosins, must be loggged.

      ^ What he said

Also if you acquired any C&R's before licensing they should be logged too. I asked the ATF about this when I got my license and the agent told me that I should log them in as well even though they were bought before being licensed.

I'm sure they did. It makes them feel good to think we(america) really need them.

        As they say,

          LOL!

          Ya.

No need to log previously-owned guns.
If you sell one, it needs to be logged out, and in that case, you list the acquisition section as "acquired prior to license effective date"

Many 03's intentionally allow their licenses to expire, then sit tight for a year and reapply.
Unlike an 01/02/07, when an 03FFL expires, his bound book is not sent to the BATFE... it is simply put into the circular file.

Upon being issued a new license the following year, he starts back at square-one with an empty book and a safe full of previously owned C&Rs.

Thanks for the info. Question 1 is good though, yeah? 50+ year long arms could come straight to my door?

Yup. They still need to be logged.

What sucks is they need to be logged even if we meet FTF and go cash and carry, while a non-licensee has to do nothing other than honestly believe that the buyer is not prohibited.

What so you have to log if you cash and carry?

                  Easy way to remember it.

You don't use your C&R license.
                  You are the C&R licensee.

All C&R guns acquired or disposed of while you are licensed must be entered in your bound book.
