I recently visited a Museum in South Carolina and snapped a few pictures(crappy I know) of some 30 Carbines thought I would share. Some of these were part of David "Carbine" Williams personal collection. What an awesome story his life was!

This was interesting...It was an air powered fully automatic carbine made of wood.
I'll post some of the other random firearms and historical pieces I took pictures of as well. In all was a really cool Museum and the fellas that worked there seemed to be able to talk for hours!

Was quite a bit of John Dillenger stuff as well as a few Firearms from Melvin Pervis Private Collection.

Thanks for posting this; I actually had no idea of David's story, and after about 5 minutes of reading, realized he is a native son of Godwin, NC, which is about 5 miles from where I spent many happy summers in North Carolina as a kid.
I'm kicking myself for not buying one of the last M1 Carbines (the Bavarians) that CMP had for sale last year...it appears the surplus supply of M1 Carbines is completely dried up now...

It was all new to me as well. It was funny how we found the place. I drove all the way across the U.S. to see my brother graduate from Army Basic training. We had a few hours to kill before my father's (who had flown to S.C.) jet left for Ca and we left for Virginaia to drop my brother off at AIT. we were just driving around Olympia and drove by a small sign that said Military Museum. It was free to go in and walk around! But I will say I would have paid!Comment

The pair of twin mounted carbines looks pretty cool.
May have to put that museum on my list of places to visit on my next trip to that area.
