    Enfield no4 mk1 headspace adjustment...

I have recently bought an Enfield no4 mk1 rifle to use as a shooter. (non-bubba)
I have read that the headspace can be adjusted by swapping piece on the chamber end of the bolt.
    Can anybody verify this?
If not correct please post correct way.
    Thanks.

Yes, this is correct. The piece is usually refered to as the "bolt head". They are threaded on...

Measure the length of yours with a micrometer (not including the threaded part) and see if you can find a different one online somewhere that might fit.

The No4 bolt heads are numbered 0 thru 4 higher numbr GENERALLY means longer, but not always

        Thanks for the replies.

The bolt head is marked "0".
The owner said it shot just fine but I'll see about getting it checked first.
        I'll post results soon.

IIRC, this rifle should have a fairly generous headspace. Also, it headspaces on the rim.
