ok, looks like i'm able to get 40, which i will probably do. thinnk i keep 10 myself, already have modded 2 of my 91/30's with finn tirggers.

Hope i'm not kicking anybody in the pants by making the following statement, but if you don't know how they work / if you can't finetune it to work in your rifle then you might not want to undertake this modification. It's not a miracle part that will sort itself out once installed, but if you know what you're doing you will get the same trigger as a m39, 2 stage with a clear, crisp breaking trigger.

Theyre the real m39 triggers, i asked him for sears as well, might get those too. triggers would be shipped within the US for $25

      hello cousin

Be aware that what you're doing most likely violates United States Dept of State import regulations for "fire control parts" of firearms. I'm betting you are not a licensed importer with State Dept approval.

One or two items you can probably get away with but 40 multiples of a restricted fire control part passing under Customs x-ray inspection might not. I would suggest looking into this a little deeper before you proceed.

Are these considered "restricted" parts? It's not like the parts are going to make our Mosins full auto or anything... I do not know any of the importer laws, but since the receiver is the firearm, I don't see how the trigger groups violate anything. Could easily have won these off eBay right?

            Found this on ATF's site:

An unlicensed person may obtain a permit to import sporting ammunition (excluding armor-piercing, tracer, or incendiary ammunition) and firearm parts (other than frames, receivers, firearm barrels, or barreled actions) without engaging the services of an FFL, provided the items are for personal use and not for resale. Generally, ATF cannot issue a permit authorizing the importation of firearms barrels for nonsporting or surplus military firearms.

Looks like he can get a one time permit for the trigger groups, but re-selling them looks to be questionable.

Here's a link to the whole page: http://www.atf.gov/firearms/guides/i...-overview.html

What if he where to buy 40 of them to cherry pick the 10 best then sell off the rest? Another avenue may be for your friend to ship them out separately.

As far as replacements go, perhaps this is the better overall approach?

IMHO, a bit of careful grinding and polishing applied to existing parts yields a significant improvement, with a final result that's good enough (for my cross-eyed sloppy shooting, anyway).

Perhaps you guys should be talking to someone with the lic to import them...like Sarco, Aim, or RGuns...then they could just give you some as your fee for the deal.

amen, my rifles shoot better than me anyway with crappy old military triggers. long as i'm minute-of-junk in the desert, i'm happy.

                        .
The problem with that trigger is that you have to inlet the stock for the safety lever.

I can't believe you guys are thinking about bubbaing your Mosins!!!

J/K. Anyway I got used to my gravel driveway 91/30 and m38 triggers a while ago. Polishing the sears helped a little. I have heard that the justification for the poor triggers was that the infantryman was going to be scared to death and jerk it anyway. That being said, a good M39 trigger is as good as a K31, and that is pretty darn good.

Didn't get as many since i didn't want to get the feds knocking on my door... installed most in my own 91/30's but have a few left.. so email me i you like one. just do know that i'm forwarding the part; there's some fitting required and i take no further responsibility. Also there's no returns. some are blue, some are in the white, all are orgininal finnish 2 pin triggers.

Any chance you can do a little write up and maybe a couple photos on how to install them?
