using COE to buy multiple pistols...?

    I am a C&R + COE lic. holder.
Have anyone of you collectors out there purchased more than one hand gun using your COE?

Your experiences? FFL dealer responses from buyers perspective.

I purchase 5 at one time, a PPT, and had no one blink an eye. It is not a problem but ask the dealer first because we all know a couple of dealers that are not up to date on the laws.

      ^^^

Same here. And if you buy gun A at one store, gun B at another within 30 days then the FFL selling gun B needs to know.

        PPT is different.
You could buy five handguns PPT right now without a COE.
The COE exempts you from one handgun from dealer's stock per 30 days rule (among other things).

Is this for the state's reasons? I am assuming so.

For the feds when you buy a certain number of handguns at once your FFL has to fill out a "multiple purchase" type form in addition to the 4473.
Some people are about it, so they will actually buy them from different FFLs on the same day or spread them out past five days.
I bought two handguns in AZ at once and they didn't have to do it though, I think it is for like 5+
        This is in all states.

ETA: "In addition, the sale of two or more handguns to a person in a five day period must be reported to ATF on Form 3310.4".
I guess I did have it filled out about me when I bought them.

yes, you have to tell Dealer B that you ahve the C&R+COE combo and that it needs to be DROSed as a 30-day exempt transfer. Otherwise, CADOJ will deny the second DROS as being a 30-day violation.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

+1 from dealers who know the law.

              Thanx for the feedback everybody.
I am looking to buy a pistol on first and last week of the month from same dealer.
              Should not be a problem.
