If the seller wanted to do the sale lawfully (regardless of the cost of the sale which is the seller's prerogative) with a mag of the original design in place upon transfer, it is not an AW.

Well, in that case, thanks for joining the party at this late stage to help flog the dead horse even further, since all the OP's questions had already all been answered.

No problem. Especially since I was in this party before you were.

Or perhaps I should have said: thanks for re-joining the party to continue flogging the dead horse even further.

The OP came back in post #24, after you had finished posting, with updated information regarding the rifle & mag set up, plus an additional question, which I answered. Not sure why you felt the need to make the comment about "beating" dead horses in post # 29, but I found that comment unnecessary, just like the rest of the entire post, since the question had been answered by then.

          Mellow man, mellow.

The poster was still asking questions, and restated a possible concern with the whole Chinese SKS and C&R status thing. I tried to rearrange the entire post into a question/answer format so it would be easier to follow. There are always people asking these questions, so an easy to follow format will be beneficial to the entire population.

The only thing that was finalized was the magazine capacity issue. He keeps asking about the wording "SKS". So according to all the questionables that were apparently answered, 2/3 were not. The verbage "SKS" beling of anywhere on the rifle, and the C&R status.

If you are taking offense at a comment regarding beating a dead horse, you are probably spending too much time over-analyzing things and taking things way too personally. Relax.

It just dawned on me, for $700 You can get a 7.62x39 upper. Maybe even a complete rifle. I know, not as cool as an sks, but in my opinion the cool skss are in their original form, not bubbaed into a wanna be ak. I do love the short stroke system of the sks and vz.

ALSystems has actually got one up right now for $360 in the private sales forum.
