Most commercial will probably bend your op rod. CMP used to sell the Greek ammo that was good. Theres some commercial PMC that will work. Don't shoot too much, and only shoot lightball stuff.

You can always get an adjustable gas system from Schuster or McCann so you can shoot most any loads.

That is probably why my Garand op rod was slightly bent when I bought it. Good thing I have been shooting Greek surplus through it.

Ammunition To Go has a bunch of Greek ball ammo.

Garand op-rods are always a little bent. They have to be to function properly. The problem is that modern .30-06 will bend it too much. I seem to remember someone on the CMP forums who could check the bend in the op-rod and restore it to the spec. The adjustable gas plug is the only way to go if you want to shoot commercial ammo.

The problem with the Greek HXP is that it is steel jacketed, so most of the local ranges won't let you shoot it. That's why I'm going to invest in some reloading gear soon.
