So I just picked up my big 5 Russian m44 a couple of days ago. Its a 1944 Izzy and is in nice shape. Its been re-arsenaled (force matched magazine). My question is what does it mean if there are a bunch of "K"s with circles around them. Theres one on the stock by the "recoil pad", one above the Century import mark, and one on the receiver to the far left of the original serial number.

I only own and shoot a couple Mosins (M38 & 91/30). But I've found
this site helpful for info :http://7.62x54r.net/
Hope this helps.sigpic Member -
Circled K on the receiver is a "point of aim" firing proof. Essentially it means it acceptably hit the target at the tested range. The others are likely just typical "inspectors" stamps. Many different letter combinations are found.sigpic "On bended knee is no way to be free." - Eddie Vedder, "Guaranteed"
