I need C&R information quick.

Well I am going to be selling a Steyr M95. It is to my understanding that there is no FFL required to make the transaction and all Steyr M95's are considered a C&R. Please correct me if I am wrong. I DO NOT have a 03 FFL C&R. I am planning on getting a copy of his I.D. and a written statement that says he is not restricted from purchasing Firearms or Ammunition as well as all the information of the gun. Make, Model, Caliber, ECT. Is there anything else I need to know. Is there anyone out there that might have a Template for this transaction. Thank you in advance.

Basically, all you need to do is make sure the buyer is 18+ years old and ask if they can legally purchase a firearm. The rest of the information and bill of sale is good to have, but not legally required. As long as the rifle is 50+ years old, your good to go.

Longarms over 50 years of age do not require a FFL 01 to transfer between two California residents as long as the seller is not an FFL 01 as well then you have to dros it. An FFL 03 allows you to order c&r guns from out of state and have them delivered to your house.

A long gun that is 50+ years old requires no Private Party Transer & DROS through an 01 FFL. It is cash and carry. be careful when you get into saying C&R because C&R doesn't always mean cash and carry, for there are times that something is C&R and is not cash and carry....

Yes when selling a cash and carry long gun you just need to make sure the buyer is 18 or older and ask them if they are legal to own firearms/ammunition. It's not a bad idea to write a release of this sort to have them sign too.

Thank you. I wrote up an agreement that he was not restricted from owning firearms or ammunition and all the specifics of the firearm. I also got a copy of his drivers license. We both signed the agreement and went our separate ways.

I might add if one of the seller/buyer is 03FFl they need info for the bound book
