Stupid CA laws and T-37 flash hider trade

So with the flurry of accessory sales at the CMP for M1D rifles, I thought I had a perfect time to trade away the extra M1D mount I had for a T-37 flash hider.

Well at the last minute, the guy with the flash hider backs out of the trade scared that he would get in trouble for sending his flash hider to CA.

He read in his M1A documents that his rifle was not for sale in CA because it had a flash hider. So he was scared to send his flash hider to me.

I know, the flash hider is perfectly legal, especially for a Garand. I really don't have anything against the guy. He doesn't have the time or money to fight off what he perceives as a possible legal entaglement. He does not have the time to do leagl research for a $200 scope mount.

    CA laws suck!

    Thanks for listening

      T-37

SARCO has them for sale at $34.95 each plus shipping and they are not afraid of CA.

There add said unlimited number in stock original GI.

Is this guy a on the CMP forums. If so, mention to him that there were no restrictions from the CMP when the flash hiders were sold on Nov. 29th.
They still have the listing here. http://www.thecmp.org/accessories.htm

This has nothing to do with CA laws and everything to do with an irrational paranoid seller or an excuse to back out of the trade.
Time for a negative rating for backing out.

          Yeah, I pointed that out.

Sick of the whole trading thing. Went out and bought a T-37 and now the mount is for sale. Honest description, good pix and no returns

Well, you got the price and number in stock right.
Original GI? I don't think so. Not for $34.95

CMP offered the late model 3 prong for $35 plus shipping, rember they only sell what is returned to them, not what they buy as scrap salvage from the goverment by the ton.

Look again at SARCO's garand parts list, if it's repro they say so.
Before you spend big money on somthing being (scalped) from CMP at least look at these.
Hell I'm thinking of getting a few myself.

A picture of one would be nice. Pretty easy to tell a repro

So using your logic, this is an original M1D scope mount for $69.95?

I've e-mailed sarco and asked if their T-37 flashider is real or fake, I didn't ask if every part they offer for sale is real, I also do not know if sandsnow has a promise from the seller that the one offered for is real or as you point out maybe to cheep to be real.
I just realised we are both gambling with somebodys elses money, so doesn't matter to me at all.

It should matter because people that don't know the difference read these post to learn. If you are going to claim that these are USGI parts, you need to realize that people may buy them based on your claim. If you don't know for sure, don't make the claim.
