    help with id

need to find out about a rifle.

not much to go on here, but most numbers do match otherwise i would pass it up.

the reciver has a bolt handle that is streight, could not remove the bolt, could not find out how?

has a round disk about the size and a bit thicker of a nickle, the bolt holding it in place did not move but looks like the disk should lift up then can remove the bolt
rear bolt holding lug has slot in the top.
there are cartuches on all parts even the stock, no name of manf, country, or chambering.

has a baynout lug on the side of the barrel, the receiver if oct in shape.

looks like it has not been shot in some time, grease and dust all over it.

sure i can go back to the guy selling it, and say i need photos for posting on the web, be back latter....maybe to buy it.

M-44 Nagant with the Bayo removed? Is the nickel object on the back of the bolt? (safety).

Would be similar to this but shorter.

here's a good indicator of what it is... what's the price?

If it's an M44 or other Mosin, the bolt comes out and goes in like a Mauser: open bolt, pull trigger and hold, pull bolt the rest of the way out of the action. Pull and hold the trigger to put the bolt back in.

Then again, I think a lot of bolt rifles strip like that...

Mauser does not strip that way. There is a bolt release latch on the side that must be pulled out and then the bolt can be removed.

                "not"

disk is ontop and at the rear of the bolt.
rear reciver bolt strap has indent to for disk, but looks like the disk should lift a bit to remove the bolt.
i will see about getting a photo of it but not till late sunday. only $100.00 bucks not that big of a loss if a lousey gun, no matter what it will be another for the collection.

thank god for the old bolt mil surplus rifles out there. got to love them.
