I just got a replica flintlock muzzle loader from a relative's estate. Barrel is stamped "Belgium" and the proof mark dates it to the 1950's- 1960's. There is no maker/ importer mark, but it does have a serial # so not worth $$.
Stock is in nice shape, but the metal has developed a rather rusty "patina"
I'd like to clean it up some so it can hang on my wall for the next 50 years. What's the best way of going about it?
*As a funny aside you should have seen the amount of GRIEF my 60 year old mother got shipping this thing to me from Boston. Might as well been a crate of AK 47's from the reactions she got.... guess it ain't 1776 anymore...
