    SVT-40 Wrench

    Hello everyone,

Don't know if this has been mentioned before, but I found a great place to get repro SVT-40 Gas Wrenches for $14.95 shipped CONUS.

I just picked-up a Russian SVT-40 and was looking for a gas wrench. The originals were too much and while searching for a quality repro I stumbled across Black River Gunsmithing in Ohio.

The original wrench is on top, BRG's is on the bottom (pics from BRG's website):

I just got it in the mail today (I called in the order Tuesday), it's well made and works great. And the price is right!

You will never, in your life, have a chance like this again.
If I were you, I would not pass this up. I would not let this go by...this is rare.
    Come on...what harm??

The Black River tool is the best. Much better than the originals I've owned (and sold off). The price is great too.

you can also make a gas adjusting wrench modding an adjustable wrench by cutting a small notch in it to adjust the gas settings. Thats what I did and it works like a champ

i found i really only needed the wrench once: to dial it in the first time i shot the svt with privi ammo to get ejection to work fine. once i did that, i never needed it again. you do NOT need the tool to disassemble the gas system as the manual on Surplusrifle.com would indicate, there are youtube vids on it which are better.
