Very nice. Trying to make the same collection. I still need to find a Hungarian and a Type 53. Maybe a DDR marked one too. Ive passed up a few beat up Hungarians and haven't encountered a Type 53 for sale yet. And, I believe you have the Hungarian and the Polish labels swapped.

Excellent collection.
There was a guy on gunboards in late summer selling off M44's. said they didn't interest him any more. All of them were super clean and came from every nation that made them. Did anybody else here score one? I got the very last one...a Romy for $100. Dude sold his Poles for like $125. I almost wept.

They either look like they were used for a track adjuster on a T-34, or they look as perfect as a Pole?
It took me forever to find a Hun to match the Pole. Then I found a Romy to match those two, and had to pass, so I could buy the Czech 91/38 still packed in cosmo.
I swear these dam things are breeding in the safe.

I taught about that when I first encounter the rifle, just brought it since it was the most decent shape yet at that time. Mind you I've seen lots of Chinese M44's and most of them were quite beat up

You're right. The Hungarians I've seen either had sewer bores, were total mixmasters or were unissued ones, A guy had an unissued one on the CG marketplace a while back , i kinda regret not getting it. But it wasnt cheap and it would have ended up being a safequeen next to my unissued Pole.
