    Newest rifle

So, about a year ago i helped a buddy of mine move. as a thank you he gave me this old looking rifle. had no markings, didnt really know what it was. when i got home i stuck it in the garage and never really gave it much thought again. about 4 months ago i built an AR and purchased some hand guns. i decided to buy a good safe since i have small children at home. i was putting everything in it when i remembered the rifle in the garage. when i grabbed the rifle i decided to do some online research and see if i can figure out what it was. i saw that it had russian and sks on the barrel. pretty obvious. found a sks forum and have discovered i have a 1952 russian sks. it appears to be a refurb due to the markings and the black bolt. but, pretty cool sks. had no idea what i had and now i cant wait to take it to the range and see how she feels. here are some pics

Kind of like finding an extra $20 in your pocket... LOL

Yours looks like a Tula - which some consider the most sought after. She will be a very nice shooter.

        Enjoy!

Nice carbine. Old Cockroach Whiskers was still alive when that one was made.
Take it out and shoot it! (but don't dry fire it!)

That's a real good friend, Russan SKS's are running around $250-$400 now.
Hang on to that one !
