If you want a real one it should have some documentation that it was put together by the military. The CMP is selling real ones (rifle only, no scope or mount). Before you ask "what is the CMP?" use the forum Search function to find many threads about the CMP.
    Revolvers are not pistols

pistol nouna handgun whose chamber is integral with the barrel
Calling a revolver a "pistol" is like calling a magazine a "clip", calling a shotgun a rifle, or a calling a man a woman.

there are better ones on gunbroker with better prices.

as i mentioned before, the accessories are not USGI, therefore, the price is way to high. plus you should ask if they have any paperwork, and what paperwork

For that price, it is not worth the gamble. I would sell mine if offered that price in cash

                thats even more than me!!

fwiw, its not really that smart to ask other folks you dont even know about the firearm you want to buy online. "HEY EVERYBODY IN THE WORLD, I FOUND THIS GREAT DEAL! IS IT REAL? PLEASE DONT BUY IT OUT FROM UNDER ME EVEN THOUGH YOU TOTALLY COULD RIGHT NOW SINCE IM BRINGING IT TO YOUR ATTENTION!!!"

at least, that's the way i see things.... but i guess they would call me a pessimist.

You can buy a CMP M1D for $1500 and the accessories for about another $1500 if you shop around.

Could be real. Considering some carbines and garands have sold for thousands of dollars it is entirely possible.

i contacted the seller of the M1D, they state it has the correct barrel markings, and is dated 1952, but no paperwork.

I can also add a USGI M1D barrel to a CMP rifle and save a few hundred, but not have any paperwork either..
