    How did i do ?

So getting into Reno so early and the day before the big show - means lots of time to check out local stores ... Found this Colt official police 6'', marked ".38 " and *Heavy Barrel * - See pics. Serial is 705xxx, making it 1943 or '44 i guess ?
    Paid $300 for it.
So what do you guys think ? Would suck if i see one in similiar condition at the show for $200-250 but i kind of doubt it.

Sorry for pic quality, only have the phone with me.

How did you buy a handgun with a CA id? Did they accept your C&R?

Yeah C&R was a not a problem at all - they did ask me to fill the 4473 but did not call it into NCIS as they do with NV residents .. I think thats not needed for FFL to FFL ( C&R ) deal but if they feel better about it - fine by me.

Nice catch and the price looks good to me!
People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.

They must need money to not pull the NO CA sales on you. Where did you buy it from?

Got it at Scheels ... I think i read here before that they are CA C&R friendly.
Reno Cabelas is also rumored to be CA friendly for C&R and they did have 2 Berettas, a mod 1934 .380acp and a mod 1935 .32acp for like $449 and $499. But i did not look at the serials to check if they are actually 50 y/o.

If anybody from here is going to be at the show friday, i'll be wearing the black with red Scheels cap that they gave me .. Would love to have a beer with you guys !

                      Nice pistol!
Scheel's you say? I was in there a week or two after it opened and the dude told me they don't do C&R sales! He wasn't anti Cali or anything...he was actually pretty knowledgeable about C&R law. He just said it was store policy.

If they're on the ATF C&R list they don't have to be 50 years old. That's what's great about shopping out of state with your C&R. Still legal to bring it home to CA.
