    turkish mauser firing pin

The firing pin on my turkish m38 mauser is broken and I was wondering if any other surplus mauser firing pin would work in it. Does anyone know? If not does anyone know where I could find a firing pin that would work in it?

This happens alot with Turkish Mausers, mine has trouble shooting surplus ammo because the firing pin is short. I'm not sure if any Mauser firing pin would work but I think the bolts are pretty much the same. Its 8MM mauser right?

I have a friend with a Mauser, his won't shoot certain surplus due to light strikes as well.

It's not really that it's to short, it's just broken. It is 8mm I looked around and the firing pins from other models look similar, but I don't know for sure.

They are intermediate length, which is what Yugo mausers are, but I don't know if that will work for sure. Numrich has them for 1903 Turks.

I would ask for help at http://forums.gunboards.com/forumdis...y-Mauser-Forum
