What do you think?
Would it be legal to purchase a Yugo SKS in Texas, make it California legal, then transport it into this GREAT State of ours and then register it here. Of course I do not plan on reselling it only to use it for ME

I'm not sure if you have to play the 922r game if you swap the grenade launcher for a muzzlebreak though...

Yup I have a C&R, should of said this earlier, sorry. I was thinking of just removing the grenade launcher. From what I heard it is only a pin holding it in. I was also told if I weld a ring on the G-launcher this will also count. Not sure about the ring part but like I said this is what I heard. Thanks again

that's a good guide on how to remove the GL.

I'd search around on the forum to see what 922r issues come up when you something like this (i know it's been discussed before)

If you just want a yugo SKS look at the 59 instead of the 59/66, the 59 has no grenade launcher and is 100% CA legal right out of the box.

I've got one and its a fun rifle.

All the ones I have are sewer pipe bores that need a good scrub and will probably still look like crap. I keep hearing of unissued ones a few years back. Anyone have one?
