    Cleaned my mosin finally

Finally got around to cleaning my mosin. The bore was a tough mother and still is not completely shiny but I got tired. The rifling sadly looks a little rounded but what do you expect from a 1943 gun. There does seem to be some pitting but I may not have gotten the bore completely cleaned out.

The bolt soaked in mineral spirits is now cosmoline free. Works nice and smooth and we will see how it shoots this weekend.

You might be surprised how the bore will clean up after you send some rounds down range. I have a M38 that had a dark bore but after a hundred rounds or so it's cleaned up real well.
