But...I've been waiting since 5/12, when I received my first email from the CMP for an Inland carbine (US mail on 4/26). I've bought two M1's from CMP, so I know how the system works, no reason to bug them with email, they will get to your order when they get to it.
But. Since it's been almost a month of waiting since I mailed it, and my order should come up in the next week or so, I'm thinking of sending an email and ASKING them to delay my order until 6/6, so I get a D-Day date on the certificate from CMP. One of my M-1's was shipped on 9/11/06, which I thought was kinda cool, for whatever strange reason.
Whaddaya think? Dumb idea to (potentially)volunteer to fall back in the line, or what the hell....they are all graded as service grade. Might as well try for a good ship-date for my carbine?
These are the dumb thought that occupy one's mind while waiting for the CMP's wheels to grind forward...
