Oh I agree. I wasnt under any mis-guided impression that Mitchells was quality or originals. I was looking at it from a cheap repro-stand point. Something I could utterly destroy crawling through mud, taking flying hits, diving into the dirt, all the fun rough housing that goes along with reenacting.

I would even feel a little guilty doing that to a RC..... But on the other hand. I am NOT keen on giving Mitchells my money because I DO know what they are.

I see them in the Calguns classifieds forum for between $300 and $400, cash and carry all the time. There's one in there now for $325.

I cant shake this sneaky suspicious feeling that you are into Mauser rifles and WW2 reenacting... Cant quite put my finger on it....

          NAH! Must be my imagination.

The Mauser I have was the first gun I ever bought. I paid a total of 120$ for it from its original owner, a D-Day vet with the documentation on his capture of the gun and what not. He was 16 when he hit the beaches in the second wave. Picked the gun up there. I miss that guy.

i think impact arms or one of the other big on line dealers had RC's for 220 a short while back, they were VZ24's at one point in time

              Cupertino

Are you thinking of Miltech in Los Altos?

Close Miltech is in Cupertino. I have performed business inspections there a few times.

If you search this forum there is a guy selling one of those miltech enfields for way less then you will buy one from miltech. Its been for sale on here off and on for over a year I think...which will give you an idea of how desirable they are and what most guys think of em I dont have time to look for it right now.

I guess it's just their PO box that is in Los Altos then.
