    Blackpowder Gunshops??

Are there any blackpowder gunshops in So Cal? Back in the day when it was fashionable to be a fur-trapper or CW re-enactor, there was one in Hobby City on Beach Blvd in Buena Park and another in Fontana on Merrill. Both are gone. The former became a CAS store, and the latter was run out of business after a couple of robberies.

I recall seeing a blackpowder section at Dave's Gun Range in San Bernardino, and they do sell black powder, per a phone call last month when I was helping a friend find some.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

You can try Bain and Davis in San Gabriel. They are just a normal gunshop but the owner and at least one of the employees do Rendezvous (Fur Trapping Era reenactments) and are very into Black Powder. They also stock real black powder (Goex). Not too many BP guns in stock, but it's a small shop.

Pretty sure the one in Hobby City is in fact still there. It's called Walker 47.

Walker 47 was still open as of late summer. I know you said local stores but you can get a lot more from online stores like buffaloarms or Dice gun works or Track of the Wolf. I have purchased from all three places and they have an amazing selection.

For BP the only place locally that sells it in OC is Walker 47. I bought 5 lbs last summer and their price is $21/lb. Not the cheapest but its the only fame in town.

If you go to Angeles Shooting Range, they sell Goex Black Powder in the office, but I have heard you can only buy the BP if you are shooting there that day.

There is a small shop in La Puente called "Old West Guns" and they sell BP guns, but they didn't have real BP when I went in there - only Pyrodex. They are in the shopping center on the NW corner of Hacienda and Valley.
