            The SVW was made by the Mauser factory while still under German control. So it's a german SVW45 not a French SVW45. It has the Waa135 Waffenamts, and is a matching example. This is a "duo tone" example, having a phosphate frame, but blued barrel.

                That's the real deal right there!

                I just saw one of these German SVW examples go for $2500 plus at auction. The French ones with the "Star" were going for around a grand. Nice pickup!
