    Nice K31

Just passing this along. The last listing hit $675 with "reserve not met".

It is more than I want to pay for a K31 but I am looking for a really nice example to go along with a "pretty good one" that I already own.

As of Friday morning it's over $825 with "reserve not met". What do I know about valuations?!

The market sets the price....$999.99! I'd imagine it is some kind of record for a K31.

Boy that is a pretty rifle. Looks pristine. My shooting buddy has a K31, it's a tack driver.

I've always been fascinated by that action.

What would a comparable rifle of the same quality, accuracy, and craftsmanship cost today? I guess at least 1k, if not much more. And the match ammo would be more expensive than GP11. I am going to follow this one to see what it goes for.

Hey! I was the high bidder last time. I felt like a teenager in love who couldn't get a date. But $675 didn't get it done and I started thinking, "What would $700 buy?" "Am I a collector or a shooter?"
Heck! I'd be a collector if I had the money. My wish for whoever buys it is that they really enjoy it but it's too rich for me. Then again, are K31s ever going to be like Garands in value? Or 1911s? In America, I doubt it. In Europe, even in Switzerland, the anti gun contingent is wreaking havoc so some of these are coming out of the closet and onto the market. I think I'll simply take my $230 K31 and touch up the blue and refinish the stock.
