    Colt 1908

I got a desire to pick one of these up a few weeks ago. This one showed up here on NevadaShooters yesterday. After speaking with the seller for a couple of minutes I told him I'd take it without even seeing it. It's nicer than I expected.

A neat little classic gun. FN/Browning produced an identical (except for markings) pistol that was originally called the "Baby." (Not the same as the even smaller postwar "Baby Browning" .25).

I had one and found it capable of surprising accuracy in spite of a near lack of sights. Not a bad trigger and the .25 ammo is as accurate as most factory hardball. Had to shoot two handed (I do anyway) because the gun was too small for one hand!

I had one and really liked it. Used it in self-defense. It did its job. They fit very well in the pocket and are convenient.

Looks like you got a good deal. Your Colt appears all original to me. I have the same John Browning designed, made in Belgium, FN Model 1906, an early model (made between 1905-1908) without the thumb safety that is over 100 years old. My son & I shot it a couple of weeks ago. Accurate, reliable, and negligible recoil.

A great japanese movie, called Stray Dog, revolves around a policeman's stolen 1908. After seeing that movie and collecting a few other Colts, I have always wanted one.

I met the seller behind a convenience market. I gave him cash, he gave me the pistol. He had 2 copies of a bill of sale made out. We completed them, signed them, and he was happy.

I have his information for my bound book because I have a C&R FFL.

Cute. I have its big brother, the 1903 Hammerless in .32acp. Production date of 1917. Fun gun.

Keep in mind, the OP is from the free state of NV, where one can do this legally and with impunity

NV does not have a DROS system, but does have an instant check (Brady law) system for unlicensed buyers of handguns from gun stores. Clark County does have a handgun registration requirement for residents of Clark County - this registration can be done at one's convenience at the local Metro PD substation and is free

                            I miss Nevada

                            Nice pickup for the OP!!!

These thing are nice and handy. I can't imagine what kind of situation people were getting themselves into that required a small pocket handgun concealable upon the body with the ballistic requirement of pressing the barrel onto the target's stomach

Death Hugs at the card table maybe?

whoa! Stray Dog is from the director of Yojimbo and Seven Samurai
