Don't buy any surplus French ammo with the expectation it will fire. Most of the primers are dead.Comment

Great gun, I could have had a SAGEM of that model for $165 a few years ago, but at the time I couldn't find ammo. I "settled" for a 1948 S&W Pre-10 instead.Comment

The guy that owns it wanted me to look at it, research it decide if I was interested, I can see after the research, I'm not interested. All my guns, while most of them are C&R are shooters. I don't re load, this one would be a safe queen, I don't throw a buck a round down range. I'm wondering if all the ammo went after they switched guns out. There couldn't have been a lot of C&R milititary

It was imported by the crate full in the 60s but since the French switched in the 50s and made no more after that the supply dried up. It is essentially the .30 Pedersen for the WW1 Pedersen device.Comment
