    My first K31

I bought this from Allan's Armory described as:

Schmidt Rubin K31 Short Rifle {7.5mm Swiss} 1955 manufacture. Wood is G+ to VG condition, beech. Buttstock rated at 0*. Metal finish 90%. There is a ding in the buttplate. Clear deep crest on receiver and cartouche on buttstock . Has matching numbers stamped on the receiver, bolt, and mag. (I haven't removed the wood to check the stock and hand guard). Name tag with matching serial number under buttplate. Bore has VG+ to Excellent lands, grooves shine.
I'm very satisfied with this purchase. Minimal cosmo, wood is smooth and dry. I'm not going to mess with the stock.

Nice rifle. I fired Sage's K31 at Chabot a few months back and it was a tack driver (though not when I was shooting it!)

I'd get one but the ammo is too much $$$.

I've been very happy with Allan's grading system and when I'm ready for my fourth k-31 I will buy from him. His prices seem reasonable and you get a good idea of what you are paying for.

That import stamp has me wondering if mine are marked "SIG" too . . . off the top of my head I don't think they are.

reloading for the K-31's are FAR cheaper than buying the surplus ammo for them....

                WOW!!!!!!!!

That's a VERY NICE example in beech. I bought one from Allan with a buttstock rated 2. One side was okay but the other side was ugly! My wife said it looked like one of those No.2 pencils that someone chewed up.

I wish he had some rated 0 when I was buying. Nice catch!

                Did you find a tag???

Yeah, but reloading equipment is not cheap.

Awesome K31! I haven't had a chance to take mine out to the range yet, but I'll hopefully be able to get out there this weekend.

Oh, and why is the bolt handle on the left side of the gun in the first picture? Is the picture mirrored? It looks really weird, haha.
