                Nice...

                I'm going through mine today...
I haven't been able to find the FAT cartouche yet... It dose have a hand painted 87 on both sides of the stock plus what I think are regiment numbers, and AAA on the left side of the stock above the trigger housing...

                I'll post details later...

If youy don;t see the FAT cartouche right off, you don;t have one on the stock... it is a REALLY big cartouche about 2" x 2" You can even see it in my first pic.

My dad got his yesterday. No FAT cartouche, but painted rack number on the opposite side. In a new CMP stock, he says it shoots about an inch at 25yds.

I'm still awaiting an email, but I didn't send my order until the 1st or 2nd.

Box just arrived. I never have good luck! In the brief inspection period I got here at work, the stock has someone's name carved into the side of it! I realize some people find this interesting. I however, do not. What should I do? I know that was a pre-condition of the Greek Rack Grade Garands but it wasn't mentioned on CMP for the carbines.

Sand it or buy a new CMP stock. Wait a while, I might offload the stock that comes with mine, as I bought a new stock and will dress it up with that one.

Got any pictures of it? It's a damn shame as it has clear arsenal markings, the P with the circle, and it's walnut. The handguard matches the stock perfectly. Its also an M1 stock.

Ok heres my report, my order was sent on the 28th priority mail, I got a email response on 5/10 that there was nothing to tell me but i had a password and order number and that i would be getting more emails about order. Today fedex showed up with my Carbine. So I never got any more emails or did anything ever show up in the e-store. Now the carbine is nice, the stock has a serial number and original markings matching the the receiver as well as everthing else. No Fats stamp or soldiers name.
