    1918 Luger

Was talking to my grandmas friend and found out she has a 1918 Luger with matching serial numbers. Apparently from her father who was in WW1, looking for help on how to help her sell it for the best price.
Any help or direction to information would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

No one to pass it down to? That would be considered an heirloom and a nice one at that, if true.

You need to look at, get numbers off of it, maybe clean it up to see what shape it is in.

Do not consider phoenix investment arms as a comparison for price. If you do divide the price by 3. A normal 1918 luger in good condition will go for about $1100 and add $300 for a matching mag. This also means that it is all original no rust or replacement parts. It also could go high if the markings are rare. With out pictures it is just a hope and dream on pricing.

          Thanks everybody.
Her husband has passed and the daughter and her family don't want it (idiots haha) I am unfortunately not blood and therefore can't get it passed on to me. I'll try and get more info on it soon and post pics. I should block out serials correct? She thinks it's worth 3 grand that sounded to high to me but then again I don't know jack about lugers and current pricing.

Do not block ser numbers as they can tell a lot about the pistol.

Buy....that...thing.........do a PPT ....hell it probably is not 'registered' if it has been that long ago...may be able to buy it then do the 'self register' since there will probably be no official records of it at DO-in-J.

hope you can save it and give it a good home....wish I had a $6K 'slush fund' and would come across deals like this...I guess all the old people in my area are gunhaters....
