    AIM Surplus Gunsmith Special

AIM is having a gunsmith special mostly Enfield 2A rifles. Are Enfield 2A good rifles or just do a pass on it?

Looking at the description, seems like some of the rifles are still good shooters.

Looks like some good deals for project guns, as long as you are comfortable with some light repair work. Chips to the furniture are fixable. Most of the missing parts are available from Numrich or BDL at reasonable prices. My only concern would be rust on the ones in “fair” condition. Most 2A’s that I’ve seen have a painted finish (Suncorite, I think), so you can buff it down and repaint any rusted spots.

I have a 2A1. Great shooter, and as they are .308, ammo is plentiful. As long as looks don’t matter too much to you, I’d say go for it!
