Inherited flatside pre-ww1? mauser c96. help me ID please

Hey guys, i'm still fairly new to Calguns and wanted to share this inherited Mauser with you guys to see if you can help me ID it and maybe figure out a ballpark figure on how much they're worth.

So here are the best pics I took with my bad camera, i'll get up more pics (hopefully better) ASAP. Please request more if it helps the ID process.
Check the next posts for the rest of the pics.

now i've done some amateur research online and found this:

on that website about a third of the way down they show what looks exactly like mine and says it was contracted to the Italian royal navy in 1899?
    Does that look right?

and does anyone have any tips on how to store and handle a thing like this. I have it wrapped in cloth in a safe, and I touch it with plastic gloves. Sound ok?

    Thanks in advance!

a lot of the blue steel finish is gone, here is some of it:

    the wooden holster/buttstock:

all seriel numbers match up on the pistol too.

With these pics, it's like trying to ID a gun from a dream. What are the markings on the left side? It looks like a rare gun in not too bad condition.

haha I know right? I hate this camera. The markings on the side read
        'VON LENGERKE & DETMOLD NEW-YORK'
        i'll get better pics asap
EDIT: after a little more research I found out that this is not apart of the italian contract of 1899 but it's somewhere after, I think it might be from 1908 just before mauser brought back the stamped shallow reciever and before the bolos.everythings marked 27238.

It's a commercial pistol, the name is the Mauser agent company. Nice! Flat sides are pretty rare. Is the stock numbered to match the pistol? How is the bore?

on my 2nd post, 2nd pic down is showing the # on the stock. the hammer is marked 238 though. However those are the last three digits in 27238 which is the entire serial # . How much is something like this worth these days? how rare is she?

The writing on top should be the manufacturer, the importer is on the side.

I am not sure if this is the same as this find, but knock yourself out with the info. You might have a big chunk of dough in your hand.

Since it's all matching and you have the stock/holster it's probably worth a pretty good hunk of change. Check over on Gun Broker for similar examples.

thanks for the help so far guys! I checked out gunbroker and found a couple of flatsides that were in bad shape, prices didn't seem comparable cause mine has all the original parts still in tact
EDIT after looking at that auction site mine is exactly like that minus the rarer 20 shot mag. My stock is in better condition but the pistol has less of the blue steel finish. I don't know what to make of it or go about selling one of these

That's one I found too, however the rear sight is marked in single digits 1-10 and not like mine which is marked for 50-1000. serial numbers look close though don't they? Also it says early production model in the gunbroker ad there, 1899, where can I find a history on flat side C96's to begin with?

                            value

Good luck trying to find out info. I about went crazy looking up the info on mine. Much of it is guestimates at best.

I found one that appears to be a POST WAR COMMERCIAL with All Matching Serial in the 512k range.

its either worth 600 or 2800.

If it is in good condition value is 1,500. Very good condition is 2,200. Matching stock adds probably another 5-700 in value. This is from the 2008 Standard Catalog of Firearms. Get it appraised.
