I have a longer version trying to sale. If cant, i want to put in a nice stable scope mount on it. Can some recommend a brand and a place where i can take it to for the drill and tab work?

Heck with the drill and tab, go here http://www.scopemounts.com/index.html?main.html and all you have to do is remove the rear sight (one pin) and insert the mount. Works like a champ on my M38.
