arisaka help please

i know nothing of these rifles and dont understand how to date them. this is a 6.5 and the mum is almost all there it doesnt look removed however just wore off from natural erosion. has a few leaves left. below is some pictures of the characters on the side. i have no idea what type it is and it needs some part so any information is helpful

This may help you with the markings, I had a Type 99 and it was very accurate and well built.
If you could take a picture of the Mum and the Bolt it may help.

Looks like a Type 38 "no series" from the Koishikawa arsenal.

heres one of the bolt and the markings on the front of the action. i dont know what the horizontal hole is on top of the receiver and i also uploaded picture of characters that appear burnt into the stock.

You have a Type 30 "hook safety" Arisaka. Not nearly as common as a Type 38.

Measure the overall length to see if it is a rifle or carbine.

this is one of the longest rifles i have ever seen measures in at 50 inches do you guys have an idea of the year it was made

This is a Type 30 Rifle, manufactured in the Koshikawa arsenal between the years of 1897 and 1907 during the years of Meiji. By technicality is the first type of Arisaka by name, and by far some of the more uncommon of the family line of Arisakas.

funny story but short version is this is a customers rifle that he doesnt care about and just wants it cleaned up and redone. After seeing that it isnt just a day to day arisaka i might not be redoing the stock on this just a thorough cleaning and oiling. It seems like it might be kinda valuable. Does anyone have any idea of the brand marks on the stock?

the stock markings look like somthing that the chinese did on their rifles. I am thinking that it spent some time in their possession.

well anyone know where the best spot to find parts is? I am missing the top peice of wood for the stock.

sarcoinc had stock parts at one point.

I highly recommend to not "clean" this rifle up. It's one of those models where cleaning it would devalue it tremendously.

Big +1 here. It's a great rifle, a "clean-up" would be a shame.

let me put you all the collectors at ease with stating by cleaning up i simply mean removing dirt and dust nothing abbrasive or chemicals just get the dust and grime out of everything and get some oil in the bore. I understand doing anything else to the rifle degrades it.
