Looks like an Italian copy of a Parker Hale Enfield P58. Probaly worth a couple hundred bucks.

It is an Italian copy of a Kentucky type rifle but in percussion instead of the more common flintlock.

It depends on how fast she wants to get rid of it. I've seen similar guns sit in shops for a while with only a $100 price tag on them. But, the right person might pay over $300 for it.

It is a Armi Sport [Armi Chiappa] Kentucky rifle. The 5th edition blue book for modern black powder guns list it from 170 to 345 depending on condition. If you can show me a pics of the markings on top of the barrel I may be able to tell you what year it was made.

Thanks a lot guys, we had a chance to take a closer look at the gun and its in pretty poor condition, the hammer is loose, the barrel has a TON of corrosion and the action seems to be fouled up. thanks again for all the info!
