    Priciest Mosin-Nagant? Czech VZ54

This came in my email today and I was amused..... this one seems even pricier than the Finnish M28/76 target rifles.

    Anyone shot one before?
    Are they worth (2) M28/76s or (33) M-N 91/30s?

Granted they are hard to come by, but $2300 and no scope? Someone is smoking crack.

I was looking at those on Gunbroker last week. There's one there right now, with the scope, for $3200. They're pricey, but there were very few of them made (they were only made for 3 years), and fewer still got imported to the US. here's some more info:

When my Mosin collection is almost complete and I can justify throwing $3000 on a Mosin, I'll get one.

Wow, something more expensive that a Finnish M28/76!

I'll admit, I'd certainly like to check out and shoot that vzor 54, just to see the differences.

It's weird seeing a Mosin with a black bolt...

And after seeing the pictures on 7.62x54r.net, I decided that if the Mauser and the Mosin had a kid (with the Mosin having the dominant traits) this is what it would look like. I wonder if it can compete against the Finnish rifles.

^ eh, it's more like a mosin baby got lost in the forest and was raised by wild mausers.

Thanks for posting about this, now my M28/76 purchase doesn't seem quite as crazy.
