    samco global

What a headache. I placed an order online, a week ago. I never got a confirmation email. I wasnt sure what was happening so I called them, it went downhill from there. They couldn't locate my order, they don't have a copy of my FFL, and we cannot understand each other.

Yeah, they have some good stuff but typical bad communication and long delivery times are the norm.

I waited 3 months for 2 excellent grade walnut K31s, when they arrived they weren't walnut or excellent grade. The first one I got from them back in January was a good deal, but their customer service is less than good. I just ordered 2 k98s from AIM Surplus, it went smooth as silk.

The best luck I ever had with SAMCO was when I called to order a couple excellent walnut K31s, and I DIDN'T place the order because they were backordered.

If they had excellent walnut K31s in stock, I would be posting a similar sob story. They are notorious for this kind of thing. But, a few have gotten really lucky with them, especially when ordering several rifles at the once. I'm not a gambler.

They do have good stuff, but I would rather use Classic Arms, MCS Firearms, or AIM as a filter for promptness, professionalism, and better service.

My favorite "pick of the pile" dealer is Classic Arms for the personalized service; I haven't ordered from AIM or SOG and wouldn't hesitate to based on other experiences.

My favorite "know what your buying" dealer is MCS Firearms (easy online ordering, pictures, and good descriptions); Empire Arms and Allan's Amory is great too, but the two emails to split CC numbers for security bit is a little ghetto. I don't really care as long as the prices stay competitive.

I've never dealt with Samco because the only good thing that I've ever heard about them was that MOST of the time you will get what you ordered EVENTUALLY.

Classic Arms is always a winner for me. SOG was horrible. Took 3 weeks. Lost the order, then they said it was sitting on a managers desk because all california orders had to be checked to make sure they were legal orders. It was a mosin nagant! You think they would make a list of approved guns for the call takers to speed things along.

Yep, about 2-3 weeks for some K-31 slings.

Alot of mail order companies are that way. I ordered some stuff from Sarco on April 23rd and didn't hear anything on it. I called on April 30th and they said that I have an order number but the order hasn't been "processed yet". I called again on May 7th and it will be processed "soon".
