    Gentlemen,
This file give us a lot of Input/Changes in the M1 Garand. It covers data on what these changes are to be and when they are going into Production. I hope you find them of some interest.

If you have time please reply to this data. I think you will find it of interest.

Check out my sites if you have the time. Updates coming soon. TIA
    Thanks again

Looks like Col. Smith is a little harried by the ordinance dept. bickering over post design changes. Think he needs a beer.

Handling design changes while trying to ramp up production would make anyone sweat.

Ha! It's chicken/egg time! Production isn't even off the ground and they're already hammered with design changes. Actually, this is familiar.

Growing up, the M1 was the battle rifle we kids were aware of. It was so familiar it became iconic, and finally kinda dull. Looking at these files, and finally getting and learning to shoot the M1, the marvel of the thing is amazingly American! A typical American product, born in stress, innovation, inspiration, frustration, and finally becoming our refrigerator, automobile, T.V., computer, battle rifle, with one guy/gal at the center of it.

The history of it is fascinating... and familiar.
