    Question about "sproterizing"

If this has been asked, I appologize.

Anyone know of a good website for custom rebuilds of say a Mauser? I really loved my old Yugo (should have kept it). After the stock blew up on me, I sort of let it go.

Thinking about getting another one. This time I want to maybe rechamber it, new stock, barrel, ect. Any help?

You'd be time/money ahead by buying a Mauser receiver; large or small ring, depending on how you want to chamber the gun. After removing the stock and barrel, all you have left is the receiver anyway.

Unless you enjoy frivolous tinkering, why not just buy a new or slightly used, recent-manufacture rifle if you want a sporter?

Barreled receivers are available for some mil surp rifles, mosin nagats, enfields, steyr manlichers.

if you're going to do a total build up, why not start there?
