For good reason- it would cost WAY more to to reproduce a Mosin 91/30 rather than sticking to an original...

              Real

Check the bore too if you can. Strong rifling = you're good to go. Some of those bores are shot (no pun intended).

The 91/30's are of course real, refurbed! If you are looking at the sniper versions for I think $499, those however are not so real as snipers! Real gun real scope but not original
snipers and I believe are reproduction scopes!

You know it costs 1.4 cents to make a penny?

Get a Mosin, you'll love it. Or hate it, but you'll probably love it.

We should quit diluting ourselves & just make the whole dang penny out of zink. 2% Copper is costing too much... Then again- maybe we should just make them out of plastic & save a bunch of dough...

lol, it would probably cost more to make a fake one. They are real, I have bought a Mosin M44 from Big5. Awesome rifle. The manager let me go in the back and go through the boxes and pick the one I wanted. I had about 8 to choose from.

Understand the shared view above that Mosins aren't cost-effective to fake, but back in February I was in the new-ish Cabelas outside Reno and there, in a rack outside the Gun Library room, were 6 91/30s that looked brand new, from stock condition to bore to bolt.

Another customer and I were marvelling at their condition, saying we'd never seen any in this condition, and then I asked the Cabelas staffer from the Gun Library what the story was with these rifles. He said they were reproductions.
