    My current Mosin collection

So I figured I would sneak in a quick photo session of my Mosins before the rabbits started to come out for their funerals

Here is the link to full-size photos.

    From left to right....

    -Finnish P-27.
-1939 Tula M91/30. Stock refinished by bplvr.
-1942 Izhevsk M91/30. Finnish capture with what appears to be a genuine WW2 Russian leather sling.
-1933 Izhevsk M91/30, all parts matching including the bayonet. Russian refurb.
-1968 Finnish M39. Brand spanking new, hasn't even been fired yet.
-1943 Izhevsk M38 in an M44 stock. This stock was also refinished by bplvr.
-1954 Romanian M44, my first Mosin and big(ger) bore rifle. I was eying the M44 for a full year in the Big 5 ads when I was 16 and they were 50 bucks. My brothers knew about it (I told them every week) and I got this rifle for Christmas.

Next on the list: M28/76 or M28/30.

    CARRY ON!

I had a couple of those $50 M44 from big 5 too. Nice Romanians. Gave them to my dad and (ex now)father in law for fathers day gifts. You got a nice collection there. I need an M27 and an M28/30 for my collection

It must be nice to pick the best of thr litter! When is the next crate???
Next to me in the blackness lay my oiled blue steel beauty. The greatest Christmas gift I had ever received, or would ever receive. Gradually, I drifted off to sleep, pringing ducks on the wing and getting off spectacular hip shots.

Thats a great smattering of commie boom sticks. I must admit I have rifle envy now and those laminated 91/30s that aimsurplus got in are looking good!

No more crates for a while, though I truly do wish I could do that again!

Only the 1939 Tula is from Mosin Madness 2010, the other ones were traded/sold for the rifles you see now.

This is all I have for the moment.

1943 Izzy round. A war production rifle if there ever was one. The "round" part of the receiver is extra rough and not perfectly round. Moreover, the stampings are more crude that what customary. The bore is decent for what it is though. I like it.

My first M91/30 was a '43 Izzy and i got lucky! Its a great shooter. The stampings are crude on mines aswell but it seems like when im at the range most of the steel plates going "ping" are coming from me.

I also have a 1944 izzy M44 and it shoots pretty decently too. It shoots better with the bayonet extended out. Mosins are definently a fun rifle and conversation piece to bring out. The loud boom makes everyone think its a freakin elephant gun and not to mention the fireballs!
