    COE turnaround question

    Hey all,

What is the current turnaround on COE? I'm not in a rush either I'm just wondering... I did the live scan and mailed the forms on 6/28. I think that on average it takes about four weeks +/-. at what point such I call the DOJ? sent the forms certified mail.

    Thanks

I was issued mine almost a year ago and it took about 2 weeks. DOJ sent me my COE before they even deposited my check.

I just checked my bank account and unless I didn't see it, they have not charged me yet...

My COE took about 12 days.... For my C&R the ATF took their sweet time :-) although I have a pretty common name so I figured it would take a little longer but I guess 3 weeks isn't too bad though

I've sent stuff certified mail to addresses up north. For some reason the USPS takes forever up there on certified mail, especially around Sacramento. Last time it took 7 days from L.A. to Rocklin? Gimme a break. USPS must be smoking something up there...

Both the C&R and COE took a touch over 3 weeks from the time I dropped them in the PO.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is a COE?

BTW, I applied for my C&R about three weeks ago.

Took 6 days here. On friday I was able to walk into a gunstore in humboldt and walk out with a garand and a sporterized lee enfield number 4. Smells like....... victory (Hahaaay a 6 foot peak!) Actually it just felt like living in a free state.
