CMP M1 Carbine

Just got the email! Mine should be here within the next two days!!!

looks like the first day I take out the garand may also be the first day for the carbine. w00t!

I lagged and did not send mine off until 5-1 priority USPS. USPS told me it would take two days to podunk Anniston and that was true. Tracking showed it in Anniston on 5-2 and signed for on 5-3.

Today, I got the first email from CMP that they got it on 5-2. Either they gave me credit for getting it in to town, they took a day to sign for everything in the pile, or they are off by a day.

So, I'm still expecting a few weeks for my carbine order.
Still gotta get some mags and ammo and such.

This being Friday and such... You may want to set up a pick up at your local FedEx distribution center...


BTW Mine will be here on the 21st... Serial. 5.51 mil..

$%^^@##^%$^!#$#! FedEx........ Even though the E-Store shows my Carbine shipped yesterday.... and FedEx shows it shipped overnight yesterday.. FedEx says it weill be delivered Monday. THAT is NOT overnight!!!

Me, I have to go get the little notice, have the package held at their center and get it the next day.
All w/o the wife finding out. She gets home before I do, so I have to know it's coming and take a late enough lunch to make sure the notice is there.

Woot! Picked up mine at FedEx today. No juice in camera so no pics, only 35mm with the 5 year old half used roll of film. lol.

Snail mail, 27Apr, first email 07May, Estore 16May, FedEx Trk, 17May, Pickup 18May.

After chasing FedEx truck around a few years ago with my Garand order, Depot pickup is the only way to go (especially when I work a block away).

Rumpled, you can contact FEDEX and have them hold it for you at the distribution center. A truck will never come by your house and they will never leave that little note that can get you in trouble.

Thanks. I'm sure I know how you know. I've never tried with FedEx, but in my experience with UPS you have to wait for the first failed delivery. I'll give it a try when the time comes.
