    Ordering Relic Pistols?

    Hello.
I've been calling every gun store
in the county and none has what I'm looking for.
The only place that has what I want is on gunbroker
and probably out of state gun stores.

I've been told that pistols can't be sent from out
of state and I'm not sure, but even can't be bought out of
    state, then drove back home.

Is there any arms dealers in california I can order from online
so I can get it at a cheap price? Any loop holes that I can use
to get one from out of state?

    Thanks.

BTW: The only place that has a cz52 has only one, and is selling
    it for $380 lol

Gun store owners can be a great source of misinformation. I guess the guys you spoke with just want you to pay their prices.

Firstly, the Czech C52 is curio & relic, so it doesn't have to be on the DoJ safety roster, regardless of what your gun store owner wants you to believe, so is perfectly legal. I have a CZ52.

Unfortunately, CA requires you to do a FFL transfer & DROS on all C&R handguns, so you will have to find a FFL owner to do your out-of-state transfer. I used the search feature on Gunbroker http://www.gunbroker.com/User/DealerNetwork.asp to find my FFL transfer guy, and he turned out to be a great guy who will do a transfer (including the $25 DROS fee) for $60 out the door, and now I would not use anyone else. Turners Outdoor wanted to charge $110 to do the same thing. They claimed there were additional costs to register the handgun. Total BS!

Give your FFL the details of the company you are buying the handgun from, so they can fax a copy of their FFL to be placed on file. Order the gun on the phone and it is sent to your local FFL next day delivery, you go in and do the DROS forms as per buying a gun in a store. Wait 10 days, and then prepare yourself for the excitement of taking your new CZ52 to the range. The 7.62x25mm produces a nice fireball and is LOUD!

You can find CZ52 at great prices from:

    http://www.classicarms.us/index.html (You get 2 magazines & a holster included for $140)

    http://www.southernohiogun.com/dealer/hand_dealer.htm (1 magazine, no holster $125, plus 1 mag & holster for extra $15)

    http://www.aimsurplus.com/acatalog/Handguns.html (2 magazine & holster incl for $140)

Magazines tend to be $20 to $25 to buy afterwards, so I suggest getting two now. My CZ52 came from Classic Arms in NC. They're a mom and pop business. A little expensive on the handgun shipping. Rifles much more reasonable shipping though. Classic Arms also do the Rock Island Armory 1911A1. I have the semi-chromed one.

The CZ52's were arsenalled usually in the 80's, then placed into storage, so they tend to be in nice condition.

    Enjoy your new toy.

Calguns can be a big source of misinformation as well. It is illegal for you to receiver a hangun directly even if it is a c&r. It must go through an 01 FFL.

$380?! Man, I just sold one for $150. I know of one with a 9mm barrel for $200 that I may look at tomorrow.

They don't have it listed on their website, but in Shotgun News, www.thedealerwarehouse.com in Modesto has CZ52's for $129.95.

The CZ52's at J&G Sales are on backorder. That's why I didn't include them on my list. Other than that, they're a great suppiler to deal with.

I hear the 9mm barrel conversions are a little prone to feeding problems caused by the fact that the 9x19mm round is shorter in length than the 7.62x25 Tokarev round. There are two causes for the feed problems: magazine feed lips and the way the extractor pushes the live round into the chamber.

Call southernohiogun they will send it right to your door if you have a c&r on file with them. they are easy to deal with and a great company. ( that is after you have it DROS,ed and wait the 10 days then you can pick it up from your ffl1 dealer)

That's disturbing because it's illegal to send a C&R handgun directly to you. You still need to DROS it with an 01 FFL (even if you have your C&R and COE, just no 10 day wait).

You seemed to have contradicted yourself there.
