I have a friend with a Mauser who always buys 196 grain Yugo surplus.
Most times, he doesn't have a problem with the ammo, it shoots just fine.
But the most recent batch he bought, dated 1955...it was giving him problems.
He had to re-cock and try pulling the trigger again in order for the round to fire off.
I say that his firing pin spring is old and worn, and that the ammo probably has a hard primer.
He says that the 1955 batch sucks because Yugo ammo has never given him any problems.
It isn't an argument or a pissing match, I'm sure we both want to find out what's wrong with the rifle or ammo.
What does Calguns say?
