The fun comes from realizing that 7.62x25mm surplus ammo can be had for around $0.10 a round.

And! it gets even better than .08 cents a round. Huge fireball and LOUD bang! AND!!! They are pretty accurate to. I had a couple inch grouping going and if I really tried harder it would be smaller. Once I get my new barrel installed I am hoping for a 2 inch grouping from 15 yards. Fun you say? Doesn't get much more fun than out shooting much more expensive guns.

No limits on where they ship either, there's another Russian on GB going for $1,200!

I have the Romy, Yugo M57, and the Polish. All 3 are great to shoot. If you have big hands the Yugo may fit better. The safety's don't bother me other than they shouldn't be there, but they work OK on mine. The safety on the M57 is better executed but very stiff to use.
I don't think you can go wrong on any of these.

Does anyone know if there's a way to tell the date of manufacture for a Chinese M20 based on the serial number?

Southern Ohio Guns are selling the Yugo as FFL03 eligible. Just bought one about a month ago. Really nice gun.
