    mosin @ turners

Turner has 91/30 for sale. Are they worth the drive down to a store to check out? I don't know much about the mosin, just looking for a cheap surplus rifle to play with.

the Mosin Nagant is an excellent rifle and the fact that it's still under $100 and the ammo too (for milsurp combloc stuff) is all the more sweet.

it's a definite shoulder bruiser and it sounds like thunder. it's also a great deer rifle if you're a hunter. it's a robust and rugged rifle so there's not much you can do to hurt it. i'd say check it out

Great rifle. I prefer the shorter ones myself, but they are all cool. For the price everybody should have one.

I love the Mosin Nagants. Get one!
Took one of my Mosin's to the range yesterday and had a great time. It shoots great, accurate, and a fun conversation starter.

Do you shoot it with the bayonet on it as they recommend?

that's really only for the M44. the 91/30 is usually just as accurate without the bayonet.

I disagree, I find my 91/30 are way more accurate with the bayonet on the gun. I shoot with it on.

I was looking at getting one for myself as Big 5 has them on sale from time to time for around 100.00

I looked into an updated stock as well, ATI makes a few parts for them

as well as a synthetic stock

from what I have read, make sure the bolt Serial number matches the gun serial number...or something to that effect
